The collection
Exhibition Location
The exhibition is located at the bel étage of Vienna’s Leopold Museum, which is known around the globe as the home of Egon Schiele’s most eminent works. The museum opened its doors in the MuseumsQuartier in 2001 and is based on Rudolf Leopold’s collection, illustrating through paintings, graphic works, and artisan craftwork the path of Austrian art into modernity.
With its remarkable cube architecture and awash with light, the Leopold Museum forms a focal point of the highly frequented MuseumsQuartier and is especially well placed as the location of the debut presentation of the top-notch Heidi Horten Collection, where visitors can expect exciting encounters with many highlights of modern art.
